Day 54: Cancer for College

This is a story about friendship, survival, and support.  Sounds like the makings of an action movie, or drama.  But it's not.  It's the lives of two college buddies, one who battled cancer, the other who became famous.  Craig Pollard survived his fight with cancer, and vowed to make a difference in the lives of other kids dealing with the same disease.  With the support of many, including his friend Will Ferrell, he established Cancer for College, a golf tournament that raises money to provide scholarships to cancer survivors.  To this day, they have provided $750,000 in scholarships to more than 700 individuals.  It is always amazing to me to see the impact that one person can have when they rise above their circumstance and choose to make a difference.
